"I remember the first time I met Adam and Lynn like it was yesterday. It was when they got engaged in March 2009. I was fairly new to the family and I remember lots of jokes of how it was about time Adam finally popped the question. The main memory I have about that day is how excited Lynn seemed, how laid back Adam was and how proud Lorna was, having brought a bottle of champagne to pop open and celebrate. It was such a happy occasion and I’m still so proud to have been there to enjoy it with them.  In 2010, Adam and Lynn got married and it was the most perfect day. I am part of a very loving but small family so big family weddings weren’t something I was ever used to. There was lots of laughter, tears, dancing and a huge bar bill courtesy of Paul which may give some people an insight into why he doesn’t drink anymore. Thankfully for him I didn’t learn of this bar bill until after Paul and I were married and it was too late for me to escape! Having children h...

"Lynn has been my friend since we were only 12 years old  We've been through a fair bit together. But never did I think one of of us would have to find the strength that my best friend has. She once told me "we spend our teens and early 20's doing everything possible to not get pregnant.  We think when I'm ready to have babies it'll just happen". We had the kind of friendship that meant we saw each other just once/twice a year, but when we did it felt like we saw each other every week..... Or so I thought. I knew Lynn and Adam were struggling to have their own baby, whilst I was sitting at home with my 2girls..... But I never realised the extent of the journey life had sent them on, or the pain they were enduring throughout this.  We had drifted apart in such a way that Lynn couldn't share one of the bigge...

Besties! "I first met Lynn and Lucy in August 2016 at our first Waterbabies class with my boy. We stood around in a circle and introduced ourselves and told the instructor why we had joined. I gave my reasons and everyone took their turns until it came to Lynn. She told us Lucy's consultant had advised her to take up swimming as she had a heart problem. I thought that was a wee shame and carried on our class and never really thought about it again. Over the months we bonded over our little clingy lovelies, the only two who seemed to cry when being passed over to the teacher, and chatted before class started. A little boy joined our class and one day we were stood around talking as usual and his dad had been telling us how he was a wee IVF baby and his wife had multiple miscarriages. He got talking to Lynn about Dundee and I nodded along feeling sorry for their awful situations not knowing anything about it and feeling guilt sat with my own secret second pregnancy...
